Kitabatake Akiie supported Prince Yoshinaga and conquered northern Japan, Ou while Ashikaga Tadayoshi supported Prince Narinaga and guarded Kamakura. |

| 1335 | Ashikaga Tadayoshi killed Prince Narinaga and Takauji raised a revolt. Kitabatake Akiie received the title of Shogun. Ashikaga Takauji defeated Nitta Yoshisada. |
| 1336 | Ashikaga Takauji supported Retired Emperor Komyo and set up the Bakufu with Ko Moronao as Shitsuji or ministrant Kenmu Shikimoku or Kenmu Code was promulgated. |
